  Today's communities are filled with neighborhoods of strangers. Children remain huddled indoors around computers, televisions or video game devices. And as a result, people are increasingly more isolated. A report that appeared in the Archives of Adolescent and Pediatric Medicine described a study that measured the health of children from birth through 26 years of age. The study found that "Socially isolated children were at significant risk of poor adult health compared with non-isolated children.” Learn more about the mini-grants.
