The evaluation of First 5 Sacramento’s Community Building Initiative (CBI) program was assessed through a longitudinal survey conducted from March 2008 to June 2010 and published in the Journal of Community Psychology. The report highlights the positive effects of social capital on families through community connectedness, neighborhood cohesion, utilization of community resources, and efficacy, as well as history of attendance at community events.
